I would like to stay at a DTD hotel for our last night ( winter dream, POR for the rest of our stay) as it would save us $150. our flight leaves too early to really do anything the last day so why pay for a ticket to the parks I won't use. however, I'm wondering how feasible this would be:
check out of POR the 12th, go to parks, in the evening pick up luggage at POR ( heard they will keep it for you, hopefully right) get on boat or bus for DTD, walk remainder of way to hotel( hopefully Marriot for $ 20) It doesn't look like it would be much further than dragging our luggage through some of the airports(LOL) we would each have a carry on and hopefully a smallish wheeled carry on sized piece. ( just adults, no kids)
Will the Disney transportation guys give us a hard time? does this seem like way to much work to save $100.( although that is 1/2 our airfare). any one ever try this or is it really nutty ( I thought of this last night just before I fell asleep so maybe it looks different by the light of day) any ideas how much a taxi would cost from POR to DTD in case of rain?...any input would be helpful.
Thanks
