Just looking for opinions, so any insight would be greatly appreciated.
We are going to Disney for our first extended stay....presently 14 nights. We've never been more than 3 nights.
We are planning to drive as we thought it might be nice to have a car while there (about an 850 mile drive), but $19/night * 14 nights is a chunk of change. We also presently have hotel reservations on the way down and on the way back.
I was looking at Southwest flights and the times (and price) work out wonderfully if we were to fly down the day before our Caribbean check-in and back the day after Caribbean check-out.
We could potentially stay off-site those first and last days, but we wouldn't be able to get any FPs because as passholders it would institute the 7 day limit (we are going back in August also).
It also seems we are maxed out with our passholder rate @ 14 days at Caribbean. However, I was wondering if anybody has experience in staying at a different Disney resort both the first and last nights? Is it worth the hassle?
Thanks.
