Hello fellow Disney fans,

I have currently booked a "4 for 3" night stay at Disney's Cheyenne hotel. *IF* I decide I would prefer to stay at Sequoia Lodge, how would I go about upgrading to this hotel, would I incur any charge (apart from the difference in price obviously).

I booked the original rooms online.

Thanks, Stevey

If I was you I would phone them and enquire - presumably you got a booking reference when you booked online? Alternatively you can email them via the official web site although this can take a couple of days to get a reply.

You have to send the request in writing and you can't do it via the website. It doesn't look like you incur any additional charges as long as you're changing to a higher value hotel, or you don't change the arrival date. So you should be fine.

At this rate, you're going to be staying at the Disneyland Hotel by the time you get there!!! :teeth:

ha ha bexx, you're probably right!!! I think the Sequoia lodge is probably a better option for Christmas. Working out £70 more expensive. Its a shame you cannot do it over the phone. Knowing my luck, the price will change by the time I get the letter posted to them.

Thanks

Stevey

PS Am I dreaming this, or did I read on here that you can get fastpasses as often as you like, ie not wait 2 hrs/the fastpass window opens?

Stevey - could you fax the letter? As for the FPs - each person can hold one FP for each attraction at the same time.

Hi Stevey

I read on here at some point that the Fastpass at DLP was different to WDW and that you could hold one for each attraction at any one time. However, in a trip report I read on here about a month ago, I read that the Trip Writer couldn't get more than one pass at a time. It is a little confusing.:confused3

I'm going in January, so I probably won't need to use it that much but I still like to know these things!

Does anybody have recent knowledge?

Regards
Rosie

When we went in the summer you could hold a number of FP's at the same time for different rides eg Peter Pan, BTM, Space Mountain etc

But you could not get further passes for the same ride until your time window had passed.

well i phoned them up, and they (like Bexx said) told me to fax them. So I faxed my request, and apparently they will get back to me within 48 hrs. I hope some coach party or something doesn't book up the whole hotel or something!!!

Looking forward to my Chrimbo in Sequoia Lodge <--- How do you pronounce that anyway??

Don't worry Steve everyone we met said it differently. ;)

That's an interesting question Stevey! I always thought it was "seh-koy-a" but my dictionary says it's pronounced "seh-kwoy-a". It's named after a Native American chief. Anybody speak Cherokee???

well, the lady from disney phoned me, changed the booking no problem, but had to choose a montana room, would cost £18 extra than the £70 extra from Cheyenne. The room was there last night when I sent the fax, but not now - ARGH. Oh well, its only £18

Just out of interest, are the montana rooms any bigger or nicer???? - except the minibar <- which I have always found to be dangerous in a hotel room!!! :rotfl:

Really !!! oh dear I only booked the NPBD so DH could have the benefit of it, perhaps I won't tell him. ;)

I think the "Montana Rooms are the same as standard rooms but situated in the main building. :earsgirl:

I think the Montana room will be worth the extra £17, especially in winter. As Jill says they are situated in the main building rather than in the small lodges outside. So if it's very cold, you don't have to wrap up just to go to breakfast, or to the bar!!!

Definitely worth the extra £17 in winter to go for a Montana room :)

Di - I thought it was "seh-koy-a" as well!

At some point I read that if you have a yearly passport you can have multiple fast passes but if you have a regular entry ticket you cant. I have always had a yearly passport and have been able to hold more than one fast pass at a time.

Has anyone out there with a regular ticket tried to get multiple passes? Oh well, we can always try it and find out for ourselves in 32 days!!!!! (Not that I'm counting!!!)

In the US it's not that uncommon of a word, and I've always heard it as seh-kwoy-a. ::MinnieMo
