Changing Guide

How does one go about requesting a guide change? I didn't get all sorts of warm fuzzies that some do with the one assigned to us when we did the tour at SSR, but it wasn't a complete turn-off.

However, now that I've purchased a re-sale, and would like to buy an add-on at AKL I'm getting a little more frustrated. I've called and left multiple messages over the last 9 days with my name and phone number and have yet to recieve a call back. No where on the guides voicemail message does it say my guide is on vacation, out of the office, etc...

I'm thinking if I'm willing to spend thousands of dollars, I at the very least want someone to fake interest in me for the length of time it takes to complete the transaction.

You need to call and have them check on who your assigned Guide actually is now. When you purchase a resale, you are actually assigned the Guide who was originally attached to that contract. That may be why you are not receiving a call back...

I would suggest buying another resale. My initial DVC purchase was directly through Disney and my guide never returns my phone calls or e-mails. With that in mind, I spend my money where people give me attention and are concerned about my needs. My other contracts have been resales and I have been very pleased with my broker Jaki.

If you want a new guide, call DVC and ask for a new one.

I had to do this as well. I purchased through Disney and I called the main DVC line and asked to speak to my Guides supervisor. From there, I asked for a new Guide and promptly received one.

That seems crazy. I must admit after day 2-- I would have been requesting to talk to a person ASAP. If you decide to buy more points from DVC I hope you are able to get in touch with them soon.
