Changing from October to November?

This might be good news for someone waitlisting in mid October...we are booked for 2 weeks (10/17 to 10/30), in studios and 1 bed rooms at BLT, Kidani and VWL.

Due to some unexpected work obligations, we may have to reschedule the entire trip. So my questions for the experts:

1. If we try to shift our 2 week vacation from mid October to mid November, is it unlikely we can get ressies at this late date?

2. Is the weather considerably cooler in November than October? (we've never done WDW in November).

It is going to be very hard to reschedule two weeks from October to November. I'm going to be it will be impossible for you to get two weeks without a waitlist and that might not happen either.

I agree that getting two weeks at this point, especially if you are going to include Veteran's day weekend in the mix, will be tough and I think there will be a lot of moving around--although it sounds like you have a split stay now.

The weather is not significantly different from Oct to Nov- sometimes there is a cool day or two but overall it is warm pleasant weather unless a hurricane/tropical storm is moving through. Good luck finding something available in Nov- at least yiu had already planned on a split stay becuase that may make it easier-I would guess that Kidani and SSR will be the resort most likely to be opened.

I have a trip booked between Nov 4-12 at Kidani then OKW. I was able to get this only a couple of weeks ago and at first, I was set to move a bunch of times - finally whittled it down to one move between the two resorts. That is, except for the night of the 11th -- there are absolutely no availabilities at any location for any size villa - I just checked again this morning and am on two waitlists for that night. I do have a cash reservation just in case but I'll keep calling.

I did hear that, after F&W is over [last day is the 13th], there are many more availabilities. If I was smart, I would have waited but I did have my heart set on F&W though!

Best to you in your hunt for availabilities those two weeks!

I called this morning, just to check on availability, pretty dismal results..

The week of 11/6 (starting Sunday), they told me no availability, anywhere, any size

The week of 11/13 (i guess when F&W ends), Saratoga had a 1 BR, but that was all

We have had great luck going in mid-November, but we do plan for after F&W, which makes it much easier. The week before Thanksgiving is a lovely time to visit.

Good news for us...We were able to keep the 2nd week of our vacation intact, so we'll be in Kidani, then BLT for about a week in late October

Not so good news for us...We did have to cancel the 1st week

But good news for someone else..So I guess someone who was waitlisting a studio at VWL the week of October 17th should have snagged a room by now!

I doubt there are two weeks in November that would be able to be booked together. Since the 11th (Veteran's Day) is in the middle of the month, and Thanksgiving is two weeks later, I suspect it's going to be impossible.

We abandoned our original plan all together, i was happy to be able to hold onto the 2nd week in late October.
