Changing Dinner Seating?

I requested the early dinner seating but my TA informed me that we were scheduled for 8:30! We have a 7 yr old DD and I am a diabetic who cannot eat at 8:30 at night. I spoke to the DIS cruise people and faxed back their medical form but I was told there is still no guarantee that I can get my seating time changed.

Has anyone had any experiences with this?

call your t/a and tell her to call dcl and ask for the dinning dept and explain to them your problem . 1/2 of my group had first seating and the other1/2 had late we had 6 litle ones in the group
my t/a calleed and talkedto the dining dept and they changed all to first seating.if not as soon as you get on the ship dont go for lunch go and get it changedask when you check in where it is

we had the same problem last year, we had a late seating and were hoping for the early...when we boarded the ship we were able to change our seating with no problem at all and the ship was full...you should be fine...just relax this will be a non issue.

I hope so. My ta talked to Disney after I did and got the same answer....they sent me a medical form to fill out and have my doc sign. I faxed it back yesterday so am hoping that it shouldn't be an issue. And if it still comes back as late seating I will indeed see if I can change it as soon as we board, but I am hoping that will not be necessary!

What I was told when we were in this same situation was that people on the medical waitlist were cleared before anyone on the regular waitlist. So while it was not 100% guarentee they told me it was about 99.9%. We were switched by the time our Docs came.
