is it possible to change your dates once youve booked and is there a charge?

We just changed our dates from oct. to aug. and it was not a problem. There was no charge to change we just had to pay the slightly higher room charge for that time of year.

If you book direct then I think you have until 60 days before to change without any charge. After that there becomes a tiered charge - I think they class it as a cancellation then you see.

We wanted to change ours and had to pay an extra 120 euros. So it's not always without charge. Both dates cost the same at the moment of booking tough. We booked with a 30% action which is currently not running anymore and so we would have had to pay the new price with the new action (1 day free) which was more expensive.

We ended up changing our booking in to room only which was cheaper then our package and I'm going to let my boyfriend buy an anual pas and "parraign" him. Cheaper for him, stamp for me and it all costs us less then our original package price. Strange because when we originally booked, the room only price was a lot higher then the one we got now.

Sleepingbeauty - Would it not have been cheaper for you to cancel the original booking and just rebook a whole new trip then? Obviously if you did book on a discount (30% off) and that discount is no longer running then they can't offer your new dates at that rate. You will have to pay more if there are no discounts/the new charge comes out at more. However, they should technically look around for the best rate on the day for you - in any country. I just spoke to a French CM this week and she said they do that as a matter of course in their office (I have had a discount before that wasn't even advertised in the UK but from a French CM :confused3). So, who knows - like I say, unfortunately it depends on who you get on the other line sometimes :sad2:.

There are exceptions. It does state in the brochure though that you can cancel without penalty up to 60 days before - not sure what happens to your deposit though - do you lose that? You do lose your credit card charge of course.

I'm sure most people would prefer to book and stick to dates though. If you aren't sure at the moment, wait until you are :).
