Changing card linked to account?

I hope this is in the right place...

I'm off to SSR and AKL next month I'm going with a girlfriend who would like to use the room charging facility however it's my card that is linked to my account. She doesn't have MDE (nor does she want to).

What I basically want to know is how to link her card to the account? Or even better, could we link our cards to our own bands and have both cards with charging facilities? If not, could we change it to her card when we get to the resort? Her card charges for overseas transactions so it would be better for her just to have one or two charges at check out - I have an overseas card that doesn't charge.

The front desk is supposed to be able to setup room charging to allow each individual to have their charges go to the own CC. There have been a few reports where all charges went to one CC even though they were setup to go to different cards.

Honestly, I don't know. I've only see a few reports of it happening, but it's hard to gauge a percentage when you don't see posts where people haven't had a problem.

I also don't go looking for posts on this issue since we don't need to use different credit cards when we stay on property.

I've seen more reports (still not many) saying since MBs, the resorts were saying they could not do that at all. Before MBs, it seemed to be very hit or miss. Some resorts seemed to be able to do it and some said they could not. CMs that post here have posted that it is possible in the past, but the steps they explained sounded complicated, so maybe that's why it's not done much.

If I was in your situation, I would have her use a credit card.

Thanks so much for the advice, I think I'll just get them to li her card and I'll carry mine, seems like a lot less hassle!!

So in that case, will they be able to change the card at check in? Cause it's my card that's linked at the moment.

I've definitely changed CCs at checkin with no problem. They usually even ask that - if you want to use the card that's already attached.
