I have about 3 reservations that I need to change the party size from 12 to 6...I fully intend to call and have them edit the reservation to be for less people, but I'm a little nervous that they will accidentally cancel them altogether or something in the process. Has this happened to anybody? Is it easy to make the reservation for less people or have you ever been told that it couldn't be done?

I will definitely make reservations be for the correct amount of people, but I won't be charged if we show up for a reservation with less people than is listed on there right? I'm thinking about brown derby fantasmic package too if that has a different policy than just regular ADRs. Thank you!!

I have the same question. I need to reduce all of mine by 1 person (they found out they will not be able to make it).

For regular TS reservations you can show up with fewer people than your reservation is for and you will NOT be charged any fee--as long as someone shows up you're fine. However, obviously it's better to change your number ahead of time if you know that your party will be smaller than originally planned.

I don't know anything about the Fantasmic reservations.

We had our numbers change in several of our TS reservations after some family members decided not to join us. It was not a problem to call the reservation line and have them change the number for the reservation. Since I had linked the confirmation numbers of my ADRs with my online account, the ADRs all showed up online & I was able to monitor them and see that they weren't canceled.

My daughter got sick last year while at Disney and they did not charge us for the two people who did not show up to our reservations. (A parent had to stay with her.)

Thank you for your responses.
Before I read them I called the reservation department tonight and the lady I spoke to told me I would be charged a fee for that 1 person if I did not cancel ahead of time.
I have heard that when you call you will get a different response depending on who you talk to. That is why I rather hear from people who have actually been in the same situation.:)
