Has anyone made ADRs with the intention of using the DDP then paid OOP instead? Will the cast members give me a hard time because I changed my plans or is it just an marketing tool to try and figure out how many people will be using the DDP?
I don't want to change all of them but there are a few that I've discovered are pretty resonable OOP and I could use the DDP for a different meal.
Thanks.

You don't need to change anything to pay out of pocket instead of using the DDP. I made more ADR's than credits available and I will be paying for 2 meals OOP during the week. I have figured out which meals will be the cheapest for me to pay for.

They do ask if you are on the DDP when you call but that doesn't mean you have to use the plan at each place.

Your server will/may ask at the beginning of the meal if you are on the plan and just say no if you are paying OOP. Hope that helps.

Interesting...I have the opposite issue. I want to make sure I get my ADRs but am not ready to make the reservation yet. I know when we want to go, so I am going to reserve dining and then most probably add the DDP later when I make the ressie.

The only reason they ask is to inform you about DDP policies as they pertain to each restaurant (whether the restaurant participates, 1 credit or 2, etc), and probably to track what percentage of ADRs are made by guests using the plans. You don't have to change anything if you decide against using the plan.
