Changing ADR's from 2 to 4? Problems??

I took my DD8 to a fair last night, and realized that although I can handle all the roller coasters at Disney without a problem, those little spinny ones throw me off.

Anyways, I thought it would be a good idea to bring my nephew (he will turn 11 the week after we return) and niece (11) , so my DD doesn't have to ride all those rides alone. I checked the flights (available), the hotel (okay), the free dining (no problem), the tickets (of course) and all the special things I had planned (cruises, Cirque de Soleil, BBB, etc)...but I forgot all about the dining! And I already invited the kids!

I am going in Aug - do you think I will be able to just add 2 to my already booked ADR's or will I have to completely reschedule...I'm panicking now!

THANKS!

I just had to add 2 people to my reservations and I did have to change my times and one I couldnt get in to.I asked a similar question on here and was told that most of them just went on to there ADR's and told them when they got there that they had 2 more and they said they had no problem. That sounds easier because I had to go through every ressie and get times and conf. # changed. It was a big hassel.

You will have to rebook everything and then cancel the old ones. You may have been seated originally at a 2 topper so you're have to move to a 4 topper.

You could always wait and see, but if you're going during free dining I would bet that some places will not be willing to accomodate you since you'll need a larger table size. So if you're willing to not eat table service one day, you could use that method.

If you decide to change them all, or at least try to, I would call NOW. Don't let the CM cancel your old ones until you have secured new ones just in case there is nothing left.

We have several ADRs that I had to just add another table for 2. They were very adamant that I be aware that if we get to the restaurant for our ADRs and cannot or will not sit at separate tables that they cannot promise will be near each other, that we would be turned away even WITH our ADRs. This is in August during Free Dining. Last year, we only had ONE meal where that ended up happening (we only had ADRs with separate tables for 2 meals, though, so 1 out of 2). This year, who knows!

I would definitely not try to just walk up with 2 extra people. It wouldn't be worth not being accomodated and then having to settle for CS or something!

I am in the same boat. Our group size went from 4 to 5....what a pain. I asked my sister over and over, "Are you SURE you are not going to be able to come?" Then about 2 months later, she decides to come. :confused3 And she wasn't even going to tell me for awhile!!! :furious:

As much as I am happy to have her along, it was easier to get a party of 4 than rebook EVERYTHING for a party of 5....might as well be 6. The only thing I am concerned about is HDDR and Cirque. I do not want to give up my spot on HDDR.
So I totally feel your frustration, but I rebooked everything just in case. I did not want to be without a TS for the night when I got there. :teeth:

I had to rebook last week from a party of 3 to party of 4 and for almost half my ADR's I had to cancel and redo for different times. It still makes no sense to me apparently there are tables just for 3 :confused3 If you haven't already done so make all your changes today, mine are for August also and had to settle for late times for two, nothing else available.

1) These could be a problem.
2) For HDDR
. . . tables are assigned in the order of the ressie date
. . . when you rebook, your date changes, and so does the table
. . . pleading or asking will not help
. . . just the way that it is, so it is fair to all
3) For Cirque
. . . you might be able to trade the four for a five
. . . this way you might be able to sit together
. . . other wise, the fifth person will sit alone
. . . cirque will try to work with you
. . . but, remember, all cirque tickets are non-refundable
