Changing ADRs again and again

I am usually pretty good but that is when i have more than 180 days to book.

This December trip was a quick decision and i have changed breakfast ADRs three times! And now I'm even contemplating getting rid of it for more park time on our last day...oh wait to do! We originally has Chef Mickey's.. then i booked 'Ohanas just to also get in at CP but that's after park open....

I also booked 1900 Park Faire to also be able to see GF's ginger bread but will forgo that to get Be Our Guest...

For only a 4 day trip, it's driving me nuts! Thankfully we basically wing everything else but timing certain MnG's.....

I just tried to get the hubby to agree to Deluxe Dining, so I could plan even more ADRs... Sad I know... I have completely rearranged them about 4 different times. They are pretty much set now, and I have nothing to do, but wait... *sad* ;)

I'm definitely in this club. Sad but I've rearranged my ADR so many times that it's driving me nuts! I've been even crazier for the past few days after the food and wine events came out.. I think I have too many planned but can't let go... going nuts!

I also read a lot of trip reports and dining reports and find myself changing ADRs if I read a bunch of bad reviews of somewhere I've picked. I won't change if I've just read one bad review (we all like different things, and every restaurant has a bad night) but if I consistently read bad reviews then.... I find myself changing. This year we're trying to go to "new" places (new for us) so I find that I've changed even more often than the past, and have had more "second thoughts". 143 days and counting. I'm tempted to count how many times I change :lmao:

Last week, I finally got the Sci Fi ADR I've been looking for. Once I booked it, I reviewed my ADRs - my copies and the Disney site. Done. All done. I felt great til I sat down at the computer the next time... a little lost. I didn;t know where to go, what to do, what to search... I was ...done:scared1:.
I got over it but it was alittle scary how committed (DH's word) I was!:rotfl:

I didn't used to be.....but this year I've changed them multiple times. I just can't seem to get all the right times to coordinate with parades and all our other 'must do things' LOL

I've changed our a couple times. I think finally last night we are happy with all our ADR's

I've made several changes for our September trip, too. Checking most every day for that last elusive ADR that will make my carefully crafted plan complete...
Finally managed to snag an early reservation for 3 at California Grill on a non-MNSSHP night, so now we are set!
I hope.... ;)

This is the way I felt about making my room ressie this year. My hubby is retired military so I was waiting (impatiently) for Disney to re-do the military discounts (and hoping they would). There were rumors flying around for weeks and weeks about if/when they would release them. The last week I must have checked 20-30 times a day, "are they posted now, no, ok how about now, no, ok, how about now" (and on and on). Once the discounts were released I booked and then felt adrift for several days afterwards. Now I keep redoing my ADRs (though not as obsessively as I was checking for room discounts).

I love your family pic in your siggie line - reminds me of a daddy duck leading his ducklings along.... super cute!

I make changes but I am not a chronic ADR changer. ;) Really.....I. AM. NOT. :lmao:

DD and I actually make the majority of our ADR's 180 days out and then only change them if we have to. This year I confused our check in day which was not on our package with our package check in date. We wanted to pay for the SOA OOP but I had booked 'Ohana that evening so we swapped that. I also am willing to change LTT for BOG if those ADR's open up.

I figure that there really is no perfect set of ADR's so we try to book restaurants that we like.

Okay I did con hubby into Deluxe dining ROFL. Just redid ALL of our ADRs :) Now I wait until Monday to try for BOG. *keeps fingers crossed*

Congrats Nixie!! I'm still on the fence.... one of the reasons I'm tempted is that I love eating out for breakfast but with limited dining credits I feel like I am "wasting" credits on breakfast. If, however, we did DDxDP I could justify having some yummy breakfasts (Tonga Toast is calling my name). Right now I just have to figure out if we want to spend the $$.

Sure you aren't, just keep telling yourself that :rotfl2: I do agree with you, however, that there isn't one perfect set of ADRs. I do keep trying though :rolleyes1

Thank you :) Yea.....they were good about holding hands and following right along when they were little. You see my older daughter walking on ahead....she was a 'pro' by that time LOL

yeppers I do it all the time........but a few more days and wahoo I will be there:cool1:

I'm not a chronic changer per se......

Really, I'm not....

At least that's what I tell myself.

I even made a change today, but that's b/c we decided we wanted to see La Nouba after all and it made more sense to eat at Raglan Road that day than Boma. So we switched those two reservations.

I try only to change when I am altering our plans. I had thought to add BOG tomorrow, but no one else in my party is interesting (maybe counter service). I will change whatever I have to in order to land the Dessert Party though.

I wasn't planning on doing BOG because I didn't think either my son or my hubby would be into it. However, my son asked me today if we could eat at BOG! :scared1: We had been talking about the fact that all of the new Fantasyland expansion will be open when we go there except the mine train and he asked about eating at BOG. Every once in a while they suprise you!! :thumbsup2 We looked at the menus at allears and we think we are going to opt for the lunch CS option because the lunch food sounds great too... but, you never know I may decide to change and do a dinner ADR. Not that I'm a frequent changer or anything :rolleyes1
