We are getting married in September (memories collection)
We have to stay minimum 2 nights at a Disney Hotel - We booked Polynesian as this is also where we are getting married.

Quick question

Is is possible to change to another hotel?
Is this easy to do? Is there any charges for doing so?

I would also have to make my wedding planner aware of any changes and also my hair and makeup. Iam wondering if its worth the hassle or just stick with the Polynesian?

My reason being that money is really really tight and there would be a huge saving made if I changed from the Polynesian to say the Art of Animation?
But I don't want to regret my decision.

I would also have to change my room celebration to a limo as I would need transported obviously from the Art of Animation to the Poly.

I picked Poly because Iam obviously getting married there, and its pure luxury, not to mention I wanted the room celebration more than the limo, and also the views of the castle and fireworks at night. The pros of the Art of Animation - saving a lot of money, and it would be fun for our 2 yr old daughter.

I dont know what to do, any guidance would be appreciated! Thanks

Usually you can cancel and change your reservation with no problems.

You would have to tell your planner, photographer, cosmetologist, and any other vendors about your switch!

Hope you get to keep your Polynesian plans! It's so beautiful. I've always wanted to stay there :)

I think it's worth switching. You should not have to worry about money or anything else when you are away for your wedding.

You can always stay at the Poly further down the road, but if this is your wedding trip, do the least stressful thing for your family. You will still have a fabulous time and a fantastic and beautiful wedding staying at AoA or anywhere else.

It's very easy to change your resort location/reservation and it shouldn't be too difficult to let your planner and hair and makeup person know as well.

Hi there :wave2: and congratulations!

You can change your reservation and this is done by calling the reservations line directly. After that all you need to do is call your DFW coordinator and let them know so that they can have the new reservation # on file and arrange the limo service.

We had an escape wedding 2 years ago and were also married at the Poly at Sunset Pointe. We were originally going to stay there, but since we had the limo service included we wanted to take advantage of that on our big day. We ended up changing our reservation to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Another amazing hotel!

If saving some money is more important to you the switch is definitely beneficial and Art of animation is a really nice resort. If you decide on that one, I would recommend the Suites since you are celebrating something big. The Little Mermaid rooms are very cute and as a Little Mermaid fan, I loved it, but the rooms are your standard rooms and the movie features is what makes the rooms really neat. If the extra space is not needed then maybe a moderate resort like Coronado or Port Orleans which have gorgeous rooms and the hotels themselves are amazing.

I hope you have fun planning! so exciting. Congrats once again! :wizard:

Have you looked into other Deluxe resort that might save you some cash? AoA is expensive for a value resort- I'd rather stay in Port Orleans as a moderate for the fractional amount more, or Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge should still save you a ton over the Poly but might be a bit more romantic for your wedding!

Oh I don't know what to do. I really don't

I feel like crying because I am so frustrated :headache:

I will have to sit and think carefully, going to discuss with H2B when I get home from work

Who have you booked your hotel with?

I see you are in the UK and the UK and USA do not have the same rules on making changes to bookings. If you've booked in $ you should be ok to make changes, if you've booked in £ then you may not be able to change without paying an amendment fee.
