Not sure if this has been reported yet!!

It's a Small World -- Closes this summer for a rehab that will include a refurbishment of the characters and installation of new enhanced audio. The rehab is expected to be completed sometime during the Spring of 2005.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - after years of being closed, since 1994 actually, walls will go around this area beginning April 19th, so that it can be cleared and landscaped for unspecified future development. No other plans for the area have been officially announced. There have been many rumors over the years for this area including a "Fire Mountain" roller coaster and a villians themed attraction -- only time will tell what will become of this space!

No It's a Small World? Are you sure? When is it closing? What a bummer!

I'm glad they are spending the time and money to rehab a classic ride. I wish they would do it to all of the Fantasyland rides. Not change them, just tweak them with modern technology. I'm glad to hear they are doing something with the 20K area too(although one rumor is that it's just going to be a character greeting area).

Small World was being re-furbished (or something) when I was there last time (Sept '97).

Dates please, we will be there April 25-29.

Rumored time frame for Small World to go down is sometime mid-June. Rumored re-opening date is March of 2005.

but I guess it has to happen some time. My dd maybe disappointed, but don't forget Mickey's Philharmagic just opened up across from it!
