Changes to the boards

My laptop was working fine yesterday until I posted on this thread saying everything was fine. Now I get the red X's and can't read any posts, only the pages that list the threads. ARG!

I'm on the family desktop right now, which works fine...

Hopefully everything will get worked out soon.

Tigger & Belle, are you running Norton's Spam control product on your laptop? If it's not configured correctly, it can do what you've described...

The seem a lot faster Alex.

I actually had to change the adress on my favorites though when this happened. The login page is also not remembering my password and I have to type it in every time. My windows won't offer to save it either.

But thems the breaks 'cause I do like the speed

CRB, try deleting all your cookies (in the IE menu, go to Tools, Internet Options, and then delete cookies...)

I bet it will commit your next logon to "cookie memory", and keep it there. (It's worth a try!)

Alex I have been getting server busy messages for the last couple days not sure if that is a help for you or not. I find the boards to be a little quicker but still get the server busy message quite often.

It's always worked fine before (other than the server busy messages) and I didn't change any settings. I'm in withdrawal not being able to DIS on my laptop. But I did get more done around the house today!

I'll look at the link and if I can't figure it out I'll have my more computer savvy husband take a look. Maybe I should get my chores done forst before I have such easy access to the DIS.

T&B--in DIS withdrawal--is there a 12 step program for addicts like me???

OK, Tag Fairy, if you are reading this, I have an urgent request (I know, you don't take requests, but I need this one tatooed on my forehead...). Don't panic, reboot!

That fixed my problem and don't I feel like an idiot! My DH is always telling me that the first thing I should always do is to reboot... This time I knew that some people had been having problems with the board so I didn't realize that the problem was on my end (my end has problems once again ). Maybe I don't have to tell him what solved the problem...I can lie and blame it on Norton Spam control!
