Alcohol is an easy way to make money back because it has the best margin so that makes sense. I'd be happy to pay more $ for food if the quality and taste would improve :rolleyes1

This is not unexpected. It's a way to get more revenue. And it affects all visitors - whether you have the dining plan or not. Even if you have the dining plan, you are getting less for the same credit. And you have fewer choices.

I have to browse the menus. None of these are places we normally eat at, so I am hoping it's not completely widespread...

I’m so sad they got rid of the martini and margarita flights at Hollywood Brown Derby! We love spending time people watching at their outdoor lounge with a drink flight and some snacks 😢

They've got the raise the price of alcohol since they are giving away free food to everyone.

Disney just gave tens of thousands of guests free dining. That means they need to charge guests paying cash at restaurants more to try to offset some of the food cost.

On the plus side, they have not raised the price of the dining plan, so if you are not eligible for free dining, buying the plan may be a good deal.

My wife loved the margarita flight.

Unemployment skyrocketing, entire industries shutting down, millions dependent on government relief and Disney is jacking up prices. That’s funny.

Kinda agree with that.
I'm not an alcohol drinker, but I noticed that the price of non-alcohol drinks is up 50 cents. Does that mean the specialty drinks? Or, God forbid, the already outrageous $4.00 for a soft drink is going to be $4.50. I remember talking to a woman with 3 kids, who told me she'd made it plain to her kids that they could NOT have soda with meals at WDW. For her, that would have meant $20 for her family.

I don’t know that they totally got rid of them. I think maybe they removed them from the menu due to the price hike so that people aren’t sticker shocked.

If you don't mind paying rack rate for your room and are forced to buy full price park admission tickets (good luck if you have an annual pass), then I guess you will be happy with "free dining".
