Changes to My Disney Experience App

Thew news is a few hours old so I'm kinda surprised I don't see it posted yet (even with a forum search), so if it is posted I apologize.

his just in, guests can now purchase park tickets for Walt Disney World Resort on the My Disney Experience mobile apps!

You can purchase up to a 10 day pass and even add a park hopper option right on the app.
The app does not seem to allow the little published “does not expire” option.
Family tickets can also be linked. Perhaps most importantly, Fastpass+ privileges are assigned at the time of your ticket purchase so you can book fastpasses on the app directly after purchase.

The My Disney Experience App seems to be getting better and better as time goes on.

Has anyone noticed issues with not being able to search for dining reservations past December dates in the app? Or is that just me?

I thought this update may have fixed it, but alas, I still cannot use my phone to search for February BOG reservations every 15 seconds...

Trying to see if that means skipping the 30 or 60 day offsite/onsite booking window. . . Scrolling through the comments on that article, i found one who said you still have to wait for your usual window to open. Not sure what the bolder added to the process. Was there previously a delay between purchasing tickets and being able to book FPs if you were already in your window?

It's worth noting that the My Disney Experience app is not compatible with my Nexus 6, which leads me to wonder if it is not compatible with Android 5.0 in general, or if there is something specific to my phone that causes a problem.

Considering it is supposed to be the 'flagship' android phone, it doesn't bode well that all my other apps seem to work fine, but 2 of my disney apps are incompatible with it.

It is just my phone, not Android 5.0. As it works on a android 5.0 tablet I have. How odd.

Does the app still suck the life out of your phone battery??? I used it about a year and a half ago, and it literally sucked my battery dead in a few hours. I had to delete it.

You probably could have turned off location and it wouldn't have drained as fast (I think).

Yup.

The whole thing looks to be a misstatement by someone at the website.

Someone who did not take into account (or even know about) the other built-in time limitations for making FP+ reservations.

I found the apk online and downloaded it to my Nexus 6. It works fine.
