Changes to Maelstrom closing?

I booked my fastpasses 8 days ago and Maelstrom was not available.

Done some tweaking today and found that it is now showing for both of my EPCOT days (August 18th and 23rd).

As far as can be seen, Maelstrom is not closing. Yet.

All I can say is better August than July. They're already closing enough attractions for the dead of summer.

I noticed that too. Although I'd rather not have August refurbs lol. The worst, IMO, was still the summer of 2007, when both HM and Spaceship Earth were down for the summer. In the end though, those turned out to be great refurbs
