Changes to ID requirements for alcohol purchases at Walt Disney World

I am from Canada and would feel very uncomfortable bringing a document as important as my Passport to a theme park and risking it getting lost or wet on a ride. I really thought I would be fine to buy alcohol with just my valid Ontario driver's license but I guess I'm glad to come across this thread and will make sure to keep a photocopy of my passport with me in case I want to buy a drink, as much as that is rather annoying! :confused3

I could have written this, word for word! I'll definitely make a copy and leave the passports in the safe.

I don't know about the CC agreements, but every store in every mall around here insists on seeing ID before they'll process a CC. Like 100%. They started several years ago, asking for ID at Christmas time. Now, it's year round.

As far as the signature on the back of the card, they usually have something like "Not valid until signed" on them. But I've NEVER signed a CC, and never had one refused as a result. Besides, the signature wears off fairly quickly. And, it's sort of like signing a check. Yeah, you're supposed to, but I've had friends working for three different banks, and they all said that the bank's policy is that it's not their responsibility to check for signatures. That includes for two signatures on checks requiring two signatures. Scary, huh?
