Changes to Disney Magic

Why do you suppose the bars are being changed? Theme change or complete overhaul?

Well, Rockin Bar D was different when DCL first sailed. We were on the original Maiden voyage of the Magic and then Rockin Bar D was a Country Western theme (now it's more rock and roll). It changed a few years ago. I wonder what it will change into now???

Keep the ESPN Zone, it's a great place to hang out and have a beer.

My husband was very disappointed to hear about the demise of the ESPN club also, bffttsiu. It is his "get away" on the ship. (Maybe he likes it so well because it isn't very crowded!). Anyway, I hope he will find something else to take its place.... wine bars, coffee shops and libraries just aren't his thing!

I'm hoping that they leave the current CG just the way it is, and AND the teen dance club as a second teen only space. There's really no place to dance in CG, and not all teens want to hang out all day/night in a loud dance club. I think they need BOTH spaces for the teens. The current space is NOT large enough to comfortably accomodate all the teens.

I understand the teens needs space.

It seems funny. They want to add a teen space to the ships because they need more room, but I was told Disney briefly considered getting rid of the "teen only" beach on Castaway Cay because it was the least used and the family beach needs some more space.

That was just a discussion.. not a plan.

Make more room in the ship and less on the island?

Ryanh....I think the ship seems crowded w/ teens because there is no place for them to go if were at sea, etc. But while in Castaway, (having teens myself) I know not all of them go to Castaway or at least for not the whole day. My sons stayed up so late each night that they slept til noon each day, even Castaway day. Some stay on the ship, or are there only half day or just hang out w/ their families. The ones usually at the Teen Beach are the teens who have joined the excursion ...or like us, big teens who find the family beach too crowded...shhh

with all this coming to light we r thinking of changing our cruise to oct. after dry dock when is the oct toberfest cruise
the big one scheduled and is it eastern or western ?????

The October 11th 7-day cruise is a Western.

If you look at the "rates & Dates" Sections, the last september sailing is Sept 13, so presumably it gets back the 20th.

The first October sailing is Oct 18, so the boat is Out of service exactly four weeks.

Actually, the Magic is out of service from September 27th - October 11th. It will be in drydock for 2 weeks. I'm on the first sailing after drydock on October 11th.
