Changes To Dining Plans May-June 2015

Sorry if this has been asked and answered already, but has it been confirmed that the Breakfast Drink can be substituted for a Side or is it only Lunch / Dinner.

It's confirmed for the 2016 dining plan that you can substitute your drink at breakfast for any eligible snack item.

Aaah thanks, does that mean it's in play now? We're there in October.

is there any indication of the table service going up for premium resturants again? i can remeber utilizing my DDP back in 09 an mostly all the premium resturants were only one table service. there happened to be a few exceptions but they were roughly 4 i think.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Some restaurants are signature dining and require two credits. They are listed in the dining plan brochure https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/m...alog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2015Dining.pdf

The changes listed in post one of this thread, have they been confirmed?

I got a little bit lost in the posts about the 2016 changes -- those changes will not be in effect until 2016 right?

Thanks for your help.

No, not officially confirmed anyway. The 2016 brochure contains some changes, but not all the changes that had been reported initially.

The changes are all supposed to be in effect now (and have been in effect for over a month) according to many unofficial sources. Unfortunately, people are reporting back being told contradictory things by different cast members. It is possible that some changes are still being tested and phased in. Some changes might not happen until 2016 or may not be happening at all.

The only change that I am certain on is that some items that were never considered snack items before are now appearing on menus as eligible for snack credits.

The changes seem to be "in the system," but staff doesn't seem to be universally trained on them yet. Or, some may just be loopholes that more people are trying to exploit. Until 2016, and with further clarification, it's best to assume there are no changes yet.

Does that include at the parks? Where did you eat and what did you get for your substitution?
I can't remember every QS location that we ate at in the parks. However, I can tell you that it worked at MK, HS, EPCOT and Downtown Disney at every location that we chose.

**We did not visit AK.

this didn't happen. What did happen was that CRT was one credit and Coral Reef was 2 and they switched them somewhere along the line. This happened in 2005 or 6, definitely not as late as 2009. The list of signature restaurants has been pretty much the same since 2005 except for that and the switch of Le Cellier from one credit to 2 (and in 2012 when the DTD restaurants all came onboard - Fultons participated in 2005 and then dropped out until 2012)

I am kind of lost here. Is that price for the evening, or for the whole day?
Assuming you're referring to the dining plan...the prices are per night of your stay and can be used at any point during the days or evenings of your stay once you have checked in until 11:59 pm checkout day.

And again :welcome:

has anyone tried yet to pay for people who are not on the plan with thier deluxe dining credits?
