I'm not sure if this has been reported or not but last week the captain of our boat from OKW to DTD told us that there will be changes in the boat routes soon.

OKW will have a dedicated boat ride to and from the former Pleasure Island dock. The OKW boat will no longer be stopping at SSR nor will it drop off at the Marketplace.

The SSR boat will share with THV and will drop off at the current Marketplace dock.

I think he said these changes would begin in May.

Thanks for this update. We'll be staying at OKW on the 24th and are planning on taking the boat over to SSR for lunch on the day that we arrive. According to the plan that you mentioned we should still be able to do this.

I can understand having to many stops would make the boat trip take forever but we always liked taking the boat from SSR over to OKW to go to Olivia's for dinner.

Just how far a walk is it from the Pleasure Island dock to the Marketplace? We love going to the Marketplace and usually go a few times each trip.

It's a 15 to 20 minute walk...if you don't stop at HOB for a beer...and Raglan Road for a whiskey....and well, you get the idea....pirate:

The OP said the Pleasure Island dock, not the Westside dock.

The Marketplace dock is next to Rainforest Cafe at one extreme end of the Marketplace. The Pleasure Island dock is fairly close to the other end of the Marketplace. In fact, the Pleasure Island dock would be closer to T-Rex and McDonalds than the Marketplace dock.

ETA: I would guess that the local DTD boat will resume service to the Pleasure Island dock also, making that route have 3 stops: Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and Westside.

That's not too bad of a walk then. Thank you.
