Changes to a bounceback reservation

Last August we booked a bounceback for POFQ. Stuff has come up and we're trying to cut down on the cost a little bit so we're thinking of switching to a value resort. Do I call the regular number or do I need so speak to someone in guest relations to make a change like this? I know the code was different for a value with quick service dining so if I call the regular reservation line with they know to look up the code for a value resort?

I had to change the dates of our BB. I called the 407wdisney number, told them what I needed and the CM transferred me to the right dept.

When I called I told them I had a Bb offer. They then transferred me to Guest services but I will tell you we were on hold forever. We decide to go with the QSDP instead of the regular plan at POR. We are there for 14 nights so didn't want to deal with ADR's for 14 nights. It took them a good while to find the QSDP code. Plus switching that saved us 1200.00 so we figure we will still do a few TS meals OP. Our air was quite a bit higher this year so that was another reason. For the change.

So after that you can switch to a value and just call the regular number. they will be able to find the code it just my take them a bit. I was on hold for 20 to 30 minutes.

Not to post bad news, but you may not be able to change. Disney only has so many rooms available for each promotion, you may get one for the value but they go fast. I would do a cost comparison and see just how much you are saving by making the change first. If you are unable to change your reservation you may be able to knock off a day for savings.

I just called last week there was everything to choose from in the values except LM rooms. I don't think they book a ton of BB. Changing from a mod to a value with QSDp saved us around 1200.00.

I know it's not a given that it will be available but I'll give it a try. We can afford to stay with what we have but would like to cut some costs if possible.

Just call the regular number and they will transfer you if need be. Beware that it will take a while. Last yea I was on the phone for an hour for them to figure things out as I was dealing with 2 rooms at POR
