Hi all:

We were at DLR for Star Wars race in January.... helping a friend plan a trip for next weekend and wondering what has changed - if anything?

A few questions:
1. Fastpasses still use within the hour printed?
2. Does HM Holiday have FP?
3. Is Racers FP still at Bug show location?
4. What about dining WoC - is Carthay still better location than Ariel? How does dessert pkg fit in to the areas?
5. Anything else I may not know that has recently changed?

They have not been before so trying to put a plan togther for them! :)
Thanks!
Kim

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. Carthay is where it's always been. It continues to be great value (IMO). The dessert packages, when looking at the fun wheel, are to the left of Carthay on the "same level" just on the other side of the landing with stairs going down in between. (Not sure if you can picture that-there's a image somewhere on here- maybe in the dessert thread or WOC thread?)
5. Yes...
  • Jungle Cruise got a lovely refurb (as did Autopia) - and they'll be back soon "with bells on" ;)
  • No more FPs for Frozen.
  • No more single rider for Soarin'.
  • No more FP at night for ToT.
  • Buzz is still disconnected.
  • I don't think Autopia has FP anymore...
  • You can't walk from Big Thunder to Fantasyland anymore the back way (I think that was still open SW 1/2 weekend) it's now sort of a dead end (in both lands lol).
  • There's padding on Matterhorn which makes it WAY more ride-able.
  • The Frozen sing-a-long show is gone and now it's a preview theatre.
  • Dr. Strange is playing right now. I think it's going to switch to Rogue One soon?

That's all, I can think of! I only meant to go to Disneyland twice this year, but have ended up going 7 times. There's always something new. It's kind of cool to see the evolution of the DLR over the course of a year! :)

The biggie - Rivers of America and the Disneyland Railroad are shut down due to the Star Wars Land expansion. No Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer's Island, canoes, Fantasmic, or Primeval World. All will return summer of 2017. Big Thunder Ranch - gone forever.
