Changes for 2011 - season rates (no fall value dates)

I am looking at the changes in the season rates from 2010 to 2011. We were planning on Nov 27-Dec 2, but after looking at the season changes, it seems like they only have a "Fall season" and no more value season anytime after September.

Where can you see these rates? I am curious to look as well. We like to travel in the fall.

Let's just hope for the big 20/30/40 pin code/discount for next year as well. I crunched some numbers on how much less it is costing me this year to travel in Sept than in Oct, and WITH the 40% pin code, it works out to be a savings of $252 for 8 days/7 nights. WITHOUT the 40% off pin code, it would cost me $420 more to travel in Oct than in Sept. Hopefully that made sense, but for me, the bottom line is, I would spent the additional $252 next year, (assuming 40% off pin code) to go in Oct.

We were going to try to go the week after Thanksgiving because of the value season, but since that had changed, I think that we will go the full week before Thanksgiving. It will be the same price and the crowds will be lower.

I counted 28 different date rate ranges in the dropdown! Checked value resorts, I counted 31!

Do you recall what dates were value in the fall? I was looking at the prices/dates on the deluxe pages.

The ones I saw I thought were at All Star. I just went back in and don't see it, I might have been looking at 2010.

I really hate that Easter falls so late this year As a teacher, I am locked into my school vacation times We will just have to be more practical with our meals and souvenirs

Well, only Disney knows whether they can fill rooms in their slow times without having a "value" season.

My guess is that they realize people are used to great discounts, and decided to keep discounting, but off of a higher starting point!

If the off-site hotels in the area offer a better deal, bookings at Disney resorts will suffer and they will have to adjust.

Or maybe they just have faith that the economy will rebound by then???

I am hoping for a nice BB offer when we go in December for our Anniversary trip next December. We want to go all out being our 10th and not having a Honeymoon.

You know, I was thinking the same thing. We seem to be looking at going at the higher priced times next year and that may just not work out for us, we may have to stay a shorter period of time, if discounts aren't given.

I am hoping for a nice BB offer when we go in December for our Anniversary trip next December. We want to go all out being our 10th and not having a Honeymoon.

I am also considering booking a BB. But if the BB is free dining, the higher room rate will still apply. If it's a percent off it will still not be the great deal it was with a lower starting point. At least it's refundable, so I'll still probably book it.

Free dining does slightly better if it's just my daughter and me, and a lot better if my husband and/or son come along. Really though, I'm just looking for the smallest dollar outlay to stay on Disney property with the dining plan. I don't care how I get to that total!

I know what you mean. We really want POFQ, and it looks like we might come out better buying AP's, and then we can get at least 3 trips out of them. Until now, tickets were the biggest expense. I really don't like the way they have divided the room prices out for 2011.

I found it- it is listed as value season 2 and it has dates past thanksgiving up until xmas- hopes this helps. If you go on the room pricing for each resort on the left hand side you can find the rates for 2011 they are just at the bottom.
