Changes coming for rental RVs

Both Fort Camper Rental and Florida camper rentals are reporting on their Facebook pages that Disney is making changes to companies who rent RVs for set-up at the Fort. In addition to companies having to sign a contract and become authorized vendors, both are reporting that Disney will no longer be releasing sites to outside vendors before 1 p.m for early set up and Florida camper rentals is reporting that you will no longer be able to get outside golf cart rentals as part of your package. I don't know if any other company is reporting anything but I have liked both of these companies on Facebook and just got updates on my newsfeed.

Thanks for the information. My sister was hoping to rent one next summer to stay with us. I wonder how difficult it is to become a Disney authorized vendor - I hope this doesn't end this great service!

One thing I noticed a while ago is that Greenberg RV had some unique instructions for their Fort Wilderness rentals on their web page. They reference that people renting the trailer "can call Disney Guess Connection Team Services ... to note that Greenberg is approved to deliver and set up rental campers on their reserved campsite". That makes me wonder if Greenberg already had an authorized vendor agreement in place. http://www.greenbergrvflorida.com/camping-in-florida/fort-wilderness/.

That same link also says the trailer should be ready by 1pm which may change now unless Greenberg has existing contract language with time specifics that would be in place while the contract is active.

In a way I can understand codifying the trailer vendor - Disney relationship so Disney is not in the middle of any end user - trailer vendor dispute. It probably puts clear responsibilities on both parties which is not necessarily a bad thing.
