Changed resorts...

I changed my resort reservations from WL to POFQ and saved over $1000 which I want to use in the parks....please tell me I won't regret my decision.....

POFQ is a GREAT resort!!! My favorite so far. It is so beautiful and charming and the smaller size is great! The boat ride to DTD is awesome too! Hopefully you will love it as much as my family did!

I'm very surprised you switched because it seemed you were looking forward to WL so much. Maybe your post will give me the strength to switch. We can use the money for other things but I'm having trouble letting go of WL for some reason. I just love it there ( WL) and DD wants to stay there as much as me. I'm sure you will have a great trip!!

I always have trouble justifying to myself the extra cost for a deluxe resort - I love the moderates and I love to save some extra cash for more Disney. Heck with that extra $1000 you can just about pay your hotel bill for another trip to Disney..................

I don't think you'll regret having an extra $1000 to spend! You can get a lot of magic for that kind of money!

I changed mine too. We were going to be at POP but I lost my mind this morning and upgraded to PORFQ! I really wanted to stay there last year, and it didn't cost me that much extra to switch because of FD. The kicker was when my 8 year old saw pictures of FQ and insisted we go there instead!

I can barely wait until we get to go! We won't have as much money to spend on extras, but I don't think any of us will mind since we'll be back at WDW

While I loooove the WL....I also like POFQ...I don't think you will be dissapointed.
If you don't mind the double beds, no balcony and outdoor corridors(all mods)....you will absolutely love POFQ. It is a great small resort. I've stayed at POFQ 2x...I want to try them all....but having a guaranteed short walk to everything....keeps me going back.

I just figured, $1000 is a LOT of extra money (or as another DIS'er stated, almost enough for a SECOND WDW trip ) and POFQ seems like a good fit...plus, we're going to a park everyday now pretty much so we won't be at the resort too much. The one thing that also helped me make the switch is that my sons are Lego addicts and POFQ has a boat to Downtown Disney (legoland area)..... Just make a list of pros/cons of each resort, ask yourself if it's worth all of the extra $$ for the WL...that's what I did and for us, realized POFQ worked just as well! Good luck in your decision!
