Changed reservations but magic bands for previous reservation on the way!

Due to a family emergency we needed to postpone our April Trip until July. Just made all of the changes but got an email saying that our magic bands for our April trip are on the way. I guess it crossed in the mail so to speak. Will I get new magic bands with the correct info for our July trip? Do I need to send these magic bands back? Also got my mickey mail today for our April trip. Will I get a new one for our July trip? Also on MDE our new reservation for July is shown with our April fastpass choices!! It won't let me cancel those. Thinking I will need to wait til 60 days out to straighten that out. Ugh!!!

IF I understand this correctly, the magic bands have no real info on them; they are just a "gateway" to link you to your MM+ account, where all the actual information is stored, so as long as the MM+ info is accurate there shouldn't be a problem. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I have misunderstood.)

No, you don't have to send them back. You'll be able to order new personalized bands. We went to WDW in October and then again in February - we have two sets of magic bands. I think we could have put our February trip information on our 'old' bands, but MDE said it was time to order the personalized bands, so we did it again.

You are correct. The magic bands merely identify you to the central computer system, where all your information is stored. That is why you can change fastpass+, dining reservations, and even tickets (like upgrade from 3 to 4 day passes) after you receive your magic bands.

There can be times when you have to link reservations made on the phone to your magic band. Just go to your My Disney Experience website, log in, and enter your reservation number. That will identify the reservation as belonging to you. Then, when your magic band identifies you as "you" to the resort, or ride, or restaurant, then the resort or ride or restaurant will pull your information from the central computer.
