Changed from Free Dining code to ZJZ and it was less$$!!

TCP, you're going with more than one person. Keep in mind; you'll need to buy at least 2 tickets which'll increase the totall.

If we take off $400,- for flying for 2, we've got a totall of $2535,- for MYW base tickets and 8 nights POR. I'm going to assume you've got free dining.

Now let's just look at what the costs would be using the ZJZ code; $ 1394.12 for a standard room including two 9 days MYW-tickets base style. I couldn't add the DDP for some weird reason when checking online, but that should be fine if you call. That would be another 2 times $311,92. That would make a totall of $2017.96. That's a big saving of over $500,-!

Have I done the math correctly in assuming your traveldates are; 9/10-9/18? If that's the case; no availability online for this code at POR, POFQ and CBR . CSR is available. I've read on here that sometimes there's a difference between online availability and availability if you call, so I would call to make sure if they haven't still got something at POR for the ZJZ code. (and if it's included, they only mention "select moderate resorts") If that isn't the case, it's up to you to decide if the $500+ savings is worth changing your reservation to CSR.

If it is, this can be done very simply by calling disney travel. Just tell the CM you want to change your reservation and are using code ZJZ and they'll be able to help you out.

We'd really need to know your travel specifics to figure this out for sure - dates and number of adults, juniors, children and what kind of deal you are booked under at the moment - free dining, aaa, rack rate, code?? Looking at what the above poster said in a different way (full rack rate)-

Ok sorry about that. There are 4 of us. My husband, myself, 5 year old, and a 2 year old. Yes we do have free dining. Our dates are 9/10-9/18.

In that case we'ld still have add the kids. Let's hop online and see what the disney site comes up with;

$ 2294.47 for a stay at CSR (again, no POR) for 8 nights including 9 day MYW base tickets and DDP. This includes 2 adults, and one 5 year old and a 2 year old (assumed they'll still be 5 and 2 when you are there)
You'll have bought 3 tickets, so let's say that's a totall of $600,-. In that case there would be a small saving ($2335 versus $2294), but no availability online for POR. (don't know about calling)

(by the way; you're up early!)

Ok, thank you for taking the time to figure that all out. I guess what is killing me is the air then.

Yes i always wake up this early, just so I can have time to myself before kids wake up.

Allways this early? OMG! All I can say is; respect! (I'm no way near a morningperson)

I don't know what's resonable for flying in the US. For us that wouldn't be a killing price (considering the distance you're flying), but than again I've read numerous prices on the transportationboard that totally made me go  (Isn't too difficult if you're paying about $600,- for the flight -intercontinental-).

Well now the same flight is $100 (roundtrip). We paid $200/person (roundtrip).

Ouch, that's a real bummer! I guess there's no way of changing it into the cheaper ones or annoling (spelling?) the $200 ones and booking $100 ones?

No I already tried. There was no way they would change it. Where are you from?

Just to mention for those who are booking air,...a friend of mine joined the "Spirit $9.00 Club" online. He is flying r/t from Orlando to Atlanta for only $36.00. He has to pay additional for a checked bag or anything else, but the flight itself is a real bargain. I guess they have very limited gateways with that kind of deal but for him travelling solo it's much less costly than the price of gas driving to/from Atlanta. I'd not be able to take many trips to WDW if I had to include airfare so it really does bite into the total cost. For the person with the $200 pp flights, were they booked as part of your package through WDTC? ---Kathy

Yes I did book WDTC

I got one of those really cheap Spirit Airlines fares just before they started the $9.00 Fare Club (which I did join). My husband and I flew home from Las Vegas to Detroit for $7.77 each (plus tax, of course). Once I experienced that kind of a deal, I had to join the $9.00 Fare Club.

How were you able to change it now? I have a free dining ressie for 9/16-9/22 at POFQ. I later decided to stay a night longer, but the free dining rooms were sold out. I have a room only for 9/22 at FQ with no dining credits. What resort are you staying at, and how were they able to add a night with dining credits once the promotion is over. (Magic maybe?;-) I'd love to get some extra credits, but figured I'm out of luck. Any ideas?

HI,

I am not sure if you were asking me the question, but I was able to add the additional night onto the start of my package with dining by using the ZJZ code which is a discount for a room/tickets/dining package. I originally was unable to get the dining for my first night as it was prior to the start of the "free dining promo". I was able to apply the code to my entire stay so that I wouldn't have to split the stay and not get DDP for the first night. I am staying at Wilderness Lodge.

hi everyone,
I am very new to this and am planning a suprise trip in September for my husband and my kids (dd 12 and ds 10). I booked WL through DU for Sept 15-21st. total for room, dining and tickets for $3400.00. Does this sound like a good price or is there better deals to be found? I appreciate any feedback. THis is a last minute decision to go...we have not been to Disney since 2000.
THanks Again

One important factor you didn't list is what room category you have. that could make a very significant difference. Also what kind of tickets did you get?

Rack rate
Standard Room 215/night = 1451.25 for 6 nights with tax
7 day Base tickets tickets 210 ea = about 900
DDP 38.99/person/night = 935.76
Totaling - 3287.01
Add trip insurance would be right about 3400, or another room category.

If you have hopper tickets add about 180, if you have wp feature add about 200 more. Rooms vary another $80/night for standard rooms with different features/views and go as high as 375/night concierge, 485/night delux, and other suite options.

There is a current special going on that you may be getting in on. So an even higher room category might be costing about that much.

oh and kelsue, book your dining reservations asap...people are already starting to have trouble getting restaurants they want for September, shoot I even had some minor timing difficulties with a couple of more popular things for December when I called on monday.

thanks for the response Bethcam. THe room is courtyard view with bunkbeds. And I have already started looking for reservations, but thanks for the heads up. I am very excited to surprise my family!:goodvibes
From the prices you have shown it doesn't look like much of a deal. MArla at DU said this ws part of the newly released special but I'm not seeing much of a savings. And yes ido have hopper passes but not wp.

courtyard bunkbed is 295/ night so add $80 per night to the price for a total of an extra $540 so yes you are getting a deal. add in the cost of adding in the hoppers of 180ish. And that means you got about a $720 savings.
