changed from AKL to CSR

well, after all the info about the construction and all the good things I've seen about CSR I've changed our reservation.

When I spoke to the CM this morning she said the construction is moving inside the buildings at AKL as of May, into ALL the buildings and you will most definately "notice" the noise and construction equipment.

If you're out all day every day she said you wouldnt notice as they're done by 4 - 5pm but if like us you have rest days at the resort it will be something you will see and hear. We live on a construction site and we dont want to see anymore!

so - off to CSR we go, she said we'll love it, we'll go back to AKL once the renovations are done, and we've saved $1000 into it as well! from wat I can see CSR is between moderate and deluxe so I hope we'll like it - I'm sure we will.

Have a great trip! There is no comparing CSR to AKL but it is a great resort in its own right. Like AKL, there is no shared transportation and the pool is great.

Here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building.

Can I ask, when are you going to AKL? I keep hearing about construction, and I'll be at AKL in Sept. When is this construction planned?

hey there! well we're going in October. We had planned the AKL and werent too concerned about the outside cnstruction but when we heard about the INSIDE construction starting in May I just dont want anything to potentially spoil our vacation. You will get construction noise and see it when you're there in Sept. Depends really on how much time you spend at the resort if it will affect you or not

I think you'll love CSR -- haven't been there, but after staying at WL and AKL, we stayed a moderate (CBR) a couple years ago and loved it so much we went back there again this year! The mods have a lot to offer, and honestly, we found CBR to be quieter than AKL or WL, and we're more "food court" people than sit-down restaurant people, so it's been great for us! Have a great time at CSR!

We like CSR soo much better than AKL!! We stayed at AKL thispast month and though it was nice, we felt very closed in there isnt much space to walk around. CSR was awesome the food court is great, the pool, and its more open- we like that! Have a great time
