Changed dates - ended up with better deal anyway

Last night I was nervous about changing (or possibly having to cancel) our upcoming 4-night stay @ WL due to budget. But not anymore!

Originally we had free dining with a WL woods view room (2 queen beds) for 2 adults & a jr. adult (Dates: 8/30 - 9/3). Now we have an AP package with dining from 8/2 - 8/6 (same dining plan as before) with a WL courtyard view (same bed configuration & party size) for $101.68 LESS than the free dining package. I didn't know there were deals better than free dining.

******************Edited to add: My leading comment is misleading. We did not have to change dates due to our budget. We had to change dates because the original dates will no longer work for our situation. I was simply concerned that if I re-booked for a period of time that fell outside the "free dining" dates that I would not be able to afford the trip at all because the price would be astronomical. Fortunately this was not the case.

Yes, the FD is the best deal for the Values due to having to pay rack rate. With the Deluxe resorts, usually you can get a better deal with the room discount for AP or even GP. The moderates depend on the number of guests-it can go either way.
