We originally had ressies at VWL Dec 26th - Jan 1st. We have never been to WDW at Christmas. When special pricing was announced for the military I couldn't pass up the savings, but the expiration date is Dec 19th. So I changed my ressies to Dec 14th - Dec 20th. Will I be sorry?

I don't think so. Anytime you can save money is good! You will have fewer crowds and can still enjoy MVMCP and the beautiful decorations!

I'd say you made a great choice. The week between Christmas and New Years is the busiest time of the year. Even in mid-December, you will still be able to experience the Christmas magic. The parks and resorts are beautifully decorated. There are lots of special shows and events (don't miss Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the Candlelight Processional). You'll have a great time.

We were there last year from Dec. 15th - 21st. It was wonderful. There were no crowds until Saturday (Dec. 20th). The decorations were beautiful. MVMCP is a must. We were able to ride all the rides with maybe a 5 min. wait during the day so we tried to hit all of the special shows and parade at the party. We did do the big rides, they are really cool at night. On our last day in the parks ( Sat ) the crowds were significantly larger. Main Street was packed. I think you will be very happy you changed your dates. All the ambience, fewer crowds, and you saved money too. What can be better than that.

No, you will be thankful to be there enjoying all the attractions with short waits. We have been twice around the midldle of December and it is the absolute best!

Have to agree with others...we have been 5 times in the first two weeks of December and they are some of our most favorite trips! Everything is decorated, uncrowded PLUS to may have the opportunity to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party....one of my MOST favorite special events!

I have also been twice during Christmas week and don't care to do it again. Tons of people....to the point of being obnoxious, restaurants are crowded, and usually by that time the decorations are getting to the point of being a little 'shop' worn. They've been up a month after all!

Take the money saved and upgrade your resort, try some new restaurants, take an Illuminations cruise, buy that expensive souvenier you've always wanted....whatever works for you! SPLURGE and have fun...you'll be glad you did!

Nope, I think you made a great choice. I will be there at Pop Century on December 14th and we leave on the 21st. I can't wait. The crowds at WDW are much lower and so are the rates. Have a great trip! Mickey

Thank you everyone for the positive thoughts. I appreciate them. To all of you who will be spending any part of Dec in WDW...May God bless us, each and every one. See you there!
