Changed a car rental for March to Oct and saved a lot

We extended our spring break vacation so we used another rental car agency for a cheaper price. This weekend (when I have time) I was cancelling the other car rental that we will not be using. We also this week booked another trip at the end of the year to use our annual passes one more time. So I was looking at prices for that trip. It was $397 without taxes for a compact for 6 days. I thought what if I modify my existing alamo reservation and see what I get. I got it for $237 a midsize, which is what the first reservation car was for. Happy dance.
