We are just back from a 7 Night Western and I was talking with a lifeguard at the Serenity Bay Beach. He told me that they are getting ready to create a Teen Beach at Serenity Bay. When you enter the beach from the Pram there is a rope to the left going straight out and you are asked by signage to keep out. Well now there is another rope beyond that one and he said the Teen Beach area will be between those two ropes just left of the bar/ restrooms. He never mentioned about the adult only dining area and whether that now will be teens and adults but I would think it will be unless they establish more dining in that area.

Wait and see the uproar if this happens. The island has plenty of other shoreline, put it somewhere else, not within earshot of the Serenity Bay beach...

While I love the idea of a teen beach, I can't imagine DCL would put it there. That makes zero sense and think it would send adult cruisers over the edge.

In regards to the statement about maybe sharing the adult only dining - I hope not!!! I would definitely not want my teen to share an adult only space of any kind.
A teen beach would be nice though - just in a different area. I would think that would take away from the tranquility and purpose of Serenity Bay.

Ok...my poor eyes couldn't see on the map clear enough. It looks as though there used to be a teen beach over where the cabanas are now. I think the teens would love their own area again! As long as there is no noise going over to SB I think it's a great idea.

These are our thoughts/ Feelings as well. Let's hope Disney rethinks this one for sure!

There used to be a teen beach see area P on the map. It's now cabanas.
I thought the arrow on Phinz first photo was the cast member beach.

I think it probably was, but there is what appears to be a small bath house and other structures at the far point now, so I've been wondering if they moved the CM beach there and are preparing to put the teen beach in at the old CM beach. That way they could walk from the family beach without having to take the SB trams, and would have access to the FB dining areas.

The way it is currently roped off is the area that everyone is referring to as the CM Beach at Serenity Bay has been cut in half. The CM beach is still next to the rock Jetty and the way the lifeguard described it was the rope that has been in place will be moved a little farther to the right towards Serenity Bay Cabanas and the old CM Beach area will be divide between CM's and Teens??? That was how he stated it was being planned.

They could possibly plan it the way Phinz stated and it would make more sense. For now the lifeguard is using the roped off area between the adult and CM beach to ride his wave runner out if anyone is straying too far. Since they had the drownings they are more strict at keeping everyone inside the boundaries. We were snorkeling and got close to the Post at the far end of Serenity Beach and he rode all the way around to us to tell us we needed to start heading back the other way. I looked up to the beach and we hadn't even passed the post yet? We just waved and turned back.

I don't have a teen yet.. But we were watching the NEW DCL dvd and I just happen to surfing the boards..
It was VERY quick.. But it's said TEEN only area.

Could this possibly be the place where they store the kayaks? There is a nature expedition (or something like that) excursion and from the description I read once, they walked a path behind the adult beach until they got to the spot where the kayaks were. This looks like it fits that description.

I can't tell from the maps if any of the arrows point to Crew Beach, but the current Crew Beach is in the area behind the dining at Serenity Bay.
