Change the Mac&Cheese!

The toddler Mac and cheese meal actually comes with applesauce.
We had a less than stellar allergy dining experience at Rancho deal Zocalo, so we don't eat there, but I'm pretty sure they offer two toddler meals there - one with chicken and rice and the other with beans and rice (both are served with applesauce and your choice of beverage).

I know. And my 1yr old doesn't like apple sauce either!
She'll eat the older kids meals, but can't have the carrots and the apples are iffy on whether she can mush them up enough. Makes me nervous! This is why we have a problem. Can't just have a hamburger or chicken, needs more balance!
She actually loves the rice and beans! But again, there's not a fruit option she can eat.
We end up doing a lot of piecing together a meal for her from the produce stands and the restaurants combined. It's just annoying that it's what has to happen to get a balanced meal.
It's definitely a first world problem! I'm not dealing with allergies or other eating issues and I'm lucky enough to be at Disneyland!

For those discussing allergies and having difficulty finding fruit/veggies, etc. - you may or may not be aware that you can bring outside food into DLR. I always bring in my own oranges and strawberries, mostly to save money on the marked up fruit the parks offer but also to make sure that no matter what I am eating something healthy!

If you have a stroller, it's even easier because you can bring one of those soft cooler pouches and keep it all cold.

I bring this stuff from home on my long car drive and keep it in the fridge at the hotel. If you are flying in you could have some groceries delivered (I have seen several great threads about that here) or bring some of the fruit that is usually available if your hotel offers continental breakfast.

Both of my older girls like the Mac & cheese at Disney (and the 10 year old isn't the biggest Mac and cheese fan in general). My middle child actually asks me for it at home. I may have to buy her Stouffers for a treat sometime. :)

You can tell them you found Disney's recipe! :thumbsup2
