We have a lot of major events in Melbourne. September will bring the Royal Melbourne Show (I guess this is like your State Fairs) and the Australian Rules Football finals. October is usually the local county/neighbourhood street fairs. November is the start of cricket season. December is Christmas. January will be free concerts in the city parks. February is the start of school. March is Moomba. If we attend as much as possible and throw in the odd excursion, we won't have a weekend to spare!
