Different island....nope did not check it out. Hoping to see it when I go to Oahu, but it is not in the main town area where we usually are at. Kind of a far drive out, so will see if we can make it over there. Each time we are in Oahu, we are always busy visiting family, friends, and doing this and that.

Have you been to Hawaii before?

Three, maybe four times to Hawaii. Sadly, everytime in Oahu. DH and I keep wanting to see more of Hawaii but we never seem to have extra time to head out to the other islands.

What is your most favorite place that you had visited in Oahu, and what types of Hawaiian foods do you like?

I liked the stretch of Oahu from Sunset Beach over to Waimea Falls are. It's a little bit more remote and quiet. I loved the luau.....and the japanese food on Honolulu is pretty good.

We ate at a small Japanese hole-in-the-wall off Waikiki somewhere. The noodles were fabulous. I don't remember exactly where as it was years ago. We love sushi and sashimi but I think we stayed clear on the last trip because we'd eaten ourselves silly on both in Vancouver.

I've been cooking okonomiyaki at home. We love it!

YUM! I make it here as well. My mom is originally from Japan, and okonomiyaki is popular from the area she used to live.

What do you put in it? We put that seafood extender and prawns in it. DH doesn't eat meat; so that eliminates the bacon. I expect your mother cooks really well.

We do the traditional bacon, yakisoba noodles, and cabbage. They do not have the regular grill, and such here, and I use the store bought mix. My mom doesn't make it. But they do sell the okonomiyaki sauce, and I use the Japanese kyupi mayonaise on it-yum!

We buy okonomiyaki sauce and kewpie mayo. Otherwise, we pretty much make it from scratch. Speaking of food....my boys are wanting to get dinner. We're going to .... the local Japanese for dinner tonight! Catch you sometime!
