We will be going into the big 4th of July weekend soon. Have a few plans but nothing etched in stone yet. It's so hard getting the whole family together. Found out the oldest son has to work the weekend so going to the beach with him is out.

It was my dad's birthday today. The whole family managed to gather for dinner....but I agree...it is very hard to do; even if we all live in the same city.

Happy Birthday to your Dad!! In our family we not only work around our schedules but girlfriend schedules, too! One son can bring his GF, the other can't so wants to do the beach the next weekend. (The beach is over at Lake Michigan which is a 2 hr drive)
