My daughter is graduating college in May and wants to go to Disney to celebrate but wants to try and go when she can see Halloween and Christmas decorations! We are planning a 10 day trip. Anyone know when they start the transformation?

Right after Halloween.

Maybe arrive on the 30th or 31st, and check ahead to stay at a resort where they will have some Halloween activities (since parties are probably already sold out). Really only MK is decorated for Halloween, so do it first, then do MK again at the end and Epcot, since those will have the most Christmas decor. I'd do AK and HS in between since they don't have as much--just mostly in the entry and shopping areas. I've never tried to do both; good luck!!

MK, yes.
Epcot, not much.

For a ten day trip arrive just before Halloween to see the fall/Halloween decorations at the Magic Kingdom. The rest of the parks and the resorts do very little decorating for fall or Halloween. Immediately after the last Halloween party (either Oct 31 or Nov 1) they will take down the Fall and Halloween decorations at the MK and by the time of the first Christmas party which is usually a week later, the MK will be decorated for Christmas.

The rest of the parks will gradually be decorated, but on a much lesser scale. Epcot might have their tree up early, but because of the Food & Wine Festival, its holiday season doesn't begin until the day after Thanksgiving (Candlelight Processional, Holiday Storytellers, holiday tag for IllumiNations). The resorts will be decorated one at a time during November, but again, they won't be completly done until Thanksgiving.
