Change of Port

We are set to cruise in 30 days and Disney just sent an email that our Costa Maya stop will switch to Progreso. They said they will cancel all Port Adventures for Costa Maya but nothing on how we schedule for port adventures in Progresso. Anyone had a change of port close to and know how they handle changes? Will they send out a date? Stager the dates like the normal scheduling? Or do I just stay glued to my Navigator app hoping to catch it as the new port adventures are able to be scheduled? #stressed

We had an itinerary change 2 days before sailing (and then again on the day of sailing) last year. They just had everyone book excursions through the app once onboard.

I wouldn't take any chances on waiting for a DCL email for when you can start booking. I'd be checking the app and website several times a day. I would check both because DCL is notorious for website/app problems. I could see them posting it on one and not the other. Hopefully they will send another email letting you know. They are probably still working on excursions for the sailing since they just made the switch.

Keep checking online for port adventures for the new port and/or go to the desk when you board. Our last cruise in Feb 2020 was supposed to go to Tortola but we were told either when we checked in or maybe as soon as we boarded (around 12:30-45 I think) that we were going to Puerto Rico instead and we had booked something else within about 10 minutes at the Port Adventures desk. We also had it a years ago - we were supposed to go to Cozumel but a week prior they told us we were going to the Bahamas instead so I logged on and was able to book something else and then when we boarded they said we were going to go to Costa Maya instead of the Bahamas so went to the desk and booked something pretty quickly.
