Change names on booked trip to rent?

Hey guys,

I am very sorry if this is against rules to ask or if the wrong place to post this but I didn't find anything in the buy/ rent section regarding this.

I'm looking for some advice. I have a April 8-18 trip booked at AKL jambo in a studio. I really don't think we are going to go. Can I change the reservation names on it if I wanted to give the reservation to someone who wants it?

Also on another note. If I transferred point to another member those points become theirs right? but they retain my use year rules right? so my use year is feb. so if I transferred points to someone that were 2022 use years points that member would have to use them within that feb 2022 to feb 2023 year for travel right?

You can change/add/subtract all names on the DVC site EXCEPT the lead name. (Have done this very recently). Call Member Services or can also do it by Chat --- although Chat isn't always available. It seems to be available later in the day, or after I've been logged in for awhile. Have to provide name(s), ages, address, email of those who will be in the room.

And to add the points transferred keep their same UY.

Once transferred, the other owner is allowed to bank them.

You can change everything online except for the NAME of the lead guest. When you rent the points, change everything under the lead guest's information (email address, mailing address, phone number) and then call Member Services to change the NAME itself. It makes for a much faster call if you do all the rest first.

Banked points cannot be transferred. Transferred points can be banked by the recipient up to the last day of the points' UY.

Here's an excellent points transfer tutorial that was most recently updated in 2020. The only more recent change is that MS now requires that owners do a 3-way call between MS, sending owner and receiving owner.

ok I figured that. Thanks. I thought you always had to do the three-way call are used to transfer points to a buddy of mine who had more points than me because he used to poke a grand Villa for our families to go together
