Just got off the phone with Ticketing and they said that discounted runDisney tickets purchased through runDisney can be upgraded to APs. This is not what I expected to hear and was just wondering if anyone can confirm that the policy has changed. If so, that's amazing. But definitely not expected.

You get the worst of all possibilities. There is no price bridging, so you will have to pay the full price difference between the Run Disney ticket and the AP. And, of course, the expiration date will be one year from the date of first use of the Run Disney ticket.

Also, if the ticket has entry to WWS and you have used even one of those entries you can only upgrade to a Premium Annual Pass.

Thanks. The PAP is great for me since I was planning on getting it anyway. Didn't know that about the price bridging though. Not a huge deal but it loses its value and would be more of a hassle then.

Unless things have changed, WWS admission shouldn't be required for packet pick up and expo. So that should not impact OP unless Run Disney has changed their policy for race participants and family for attending just expo.

Yup.
It would be no different (in cost) than simply buying an AP from the start.
