I'm not aware of Illuminations being changed at this time.

We were there on June 1st for the DIS 20 party. Saw the normal 9 p.m. show and the special showing for the DIS 20. The globe didn't open for both shows which is sad since it is like my favorite part of the whole show.

I noticed that too. Both times.

The "insider info" about the pending change was leaked over a year ago.
So far.. nuthin'.

They also said that there was going to be a new nightly fireworks dessert party that
would take place on the boat dock at the Grand Floridian.
It's been over a year since that was leaked, too...

I'm a bit bummed about this because I was looking forward to the Sparkling Dessert Party for my upcoming trip in August. I like the concept of the dessert being from around the world. If this is going to be a bunch of Frozen themed desserts, my DS (who really dislikes Princesses in general, but really dislikes Frozen the most) won't be up for it. I'll be interested to see/hear how the dessert offerings change or not and then I guess I'll decide.

My personal situation aside, this could potentially be a great sell for a Frozen loving family and would eliminate the need to use up your Tier 1 FP on FEA.

I don't know about that party, but there is the "GONE MAD" party at the GF.

The Wonderland Tea Party is still offered. As I posted above, there is also the "GONE MAD" party where desserts and beverages are available. It takes place on the Gasparilla Island Grill outdoor patio for viewing of the MK fireworks.
