Chances of swimming at Thanksgiving

Good question!

We are going too, and taking my BIL's. Both of them are excited to spend time at Blizzard Beach, but I told them not to get their hopes up.

I had read that the temperature can range from rather chilly to the 80's.

My boys swam every day when we were at Disney last year for Thanksgiving. It was still plenty warm during the day for a swim. It only got a little chilly at night.

Same here, we spent 10 days at Disney over Thanksgiving and swam everyday. Even on the cooler days the water was warm. And, don't forget the Hot Tubs!!
We also went to a water park and really enjoyed that!

We go often at Christmas and my kids love to swim......as someone else mentioned, all pools are heated. I suggest bringing a VERY warm rode for the walk back to the room however!

That is the part my kids always dread!

Out of 4 T-giving trips, only 1 was too cold to swim(2006). We'll be at WDW for the 5th annual trip and will pack the bathing suits.

As a Floridian, for me highly unlikely! For you, coming from PA, unless we have a particularly early cold winter, I think your in! Typically, our coldest months are Jan-Mar, we turn off our A/C's around Halloween!

We've been four times during T-week and always swim!! Now sometimes the lifeguards are in their ski jackets and wind pants, but it feels okay to us and especially my kids!

I'm from NH - unless there is ice in the water, it's OK for swimming :lmao:

too funny!

We have been there many times in Oct., Nov., and Dec. The weather can vary week to week. One time in Dec. the nights were in the 30's :scared1: in the morning cast members were out blow drying the plants so they didn't freeze. The days were in the mid to upper 80's.

And of course, like everyone else is saying, the pools are heated.

Being from Wisconsin I agree completely - and if there is a little ice that is usually ok too!

But in all honesty, the pools are heated and only tough part can be getting out, may want to consider bringing a nice heavy beach towel along to cover up with

We were there last year and we spent Thanksgiving day in the pool. It was a wonderful, relaxing way to spend the holiday.

We've gone swimming in Dec and Jan, too. We even went to the water parks.
