chances of someone wanting to rent your points?

if we want to rent out our points, do we have a great chance of someone being interested? do rental usually go through about 50% of the time? 90% of the time? thanks!

Hi,

Someone will want your points!!!! Some people are looking to book an entire reservation or add a few days to their trip. I am renting for our May trip. It's worked so far. I told her my days, and size unit and she checked availablity with member services. I gave her 10% before she made the reservation & the rest is due a month before we leave. I hope this helps!!!!
I imagine there are some bad rentees but if you lay down your terms i.e. how much you want, what you want for dowmpayment you should be okay. Good luck

If you mean now, I agree with tinkgrl. You will rent them. If you mean the future, you never know. I wouldn't buy DVC with the intention of renting points out because a lot depends on the economy and other things that are going on in the world. It also may depend on access to internet sites that allow you to do it.

Thats what I did for my upcoming cruise. I had multiple offers in a matter of hours. I rented and transferred to two different people and the transactions went great.

I just did the same thing. I rented out about 400 points for cash so I could make a cash reservation for the Disney cruise. I have had six different rentals, and only had a problem with one of them. The other's have all been very excited. Good luck and check out the rental board. It helped me when I was thinking about renting.

I'm trying to fine 62 points for Nov. 28- Dec. 3 (5 nights) at VWL. I found several willing to rent them to me but they can't make a ressie until 7 months prior since it's not their home resort.

i am sorry...i shuld have said i wasn't read to rent yet. we're waiting on our contract to go through, so we don't have the points yet. and actually, the points vs. prices are pretty comparable (at least when we want to go), so we're thinking of just using points...unless a better deal pops up for the cruise. if we're interested in renting, i will post on the rent board. sorry again!
