Chances of getting LTT for Thanksgiving?

I'm sure this one will be hard to get. My plan is to do same strategy as Cindy's. My mom and her DH may join us, which would be our second time dining there together!

Has anyone done this on thanksgiving? Do they still have the Flank steak or is it all turkey? Is there a parade that night? Fireworks?

Your strategy sounds like a good one. Call as soon as the date arrives and remember you will need a credit card to secure the ressie, that's common for holidays. It can become very crowded at MK so you want to have a plan and you want to be sure you are in the park because it could close to capacity and then you'd miss your PS. I'm not sure if they have the full menu that day or only complete turkey dinners. I'm sure someone else here can answer that though!

Okay, I thought that as long as you had your PS#, you could get into the park. If you paid a deposit, I don't see how you could be kept out. Does anyone know?

Were going to try LTT for Thanksgiving this year. I remember reading posts last year that it sold out as quick as CRT on the morning it was available. We avoided the parks on Thanksgiving last year, but I heard people saying the crowds started decreasing in the evening. Good Luck, maybe if were both lucky we will see you there!

I really don't think it will be as bad as you might think. I went down for Thanksgiving 2002 and for Easter 2003 and to read these boards you would think parks were going to close, you can't eat any where and the lines will be hours long. I have yet to encounter this. I was able to get CA Grill Easter morning for that night at fireworks time. They sat us by a window with out us even asking. Same with Rose and Crown for Illuminations the day after Easter.
I think these boards some times make us panic a little. Usually it is unnecessary.
Have fun what ever happens! I hope to be back for Turkey Day 2003!

Ah, Thanksgiving! For those who don't know, getting my family a PS for Thanksgiving 2000 was the reason I developed the PS Calculator in the first place.

Yep, treat it like CRT. This year Thanksgiving is again late in November on the 27th. The first day a Thanksgiving PS becomes available is always on a Sunday in September. This year, it's Sunday, September 28th. Good luck!!

Oh, check this out: Thanksgiving @ LTT

Yea, I know the Minnie pics doesn't work. I've got to rescan it and haven't done it yet.

Scottwdw that is a great site and a great report on Thanksgiving dinner at LTT!!!

Scott, I used the PS calculator weeks ago to figure out what day I would need to call. I was SOOOOO relieved when I saw it was a Sunday, since I will be going to school in the fall (and my DS starts kidnergarten). I would not have the luxury of spending all morning on the phone!

We do want to do LTT, but worry about how we will last in the park. We are the type who take breaks in the off-season! I told DH, "We will just get on the train and ride around until our PS time!" We are staying at the WL and were really looking forward to using that boat to go back for a nap/shower before dinner. I wonder if we try to leave the park, if the CM's working in the front can tell us if the park is reaching anywhere near capacity. I did email Disney for their official policy . It is a tough call. I would hate to stay in the park when I didn't need to, but how do I know if I need to? I was really looking forward to seeing the evening parade and fireworks- not dragging my weary body out of LTT and running for the exit half-crazed!
