Chances of Epcot Opening Earlier?

Epcot is scheduled to open at 9:00 a.m. every day we will be there (May 2017) and I'm thinking about scheduling an ADR at Garden Grill for before the park opens. I wouldn't make a PPO reservation at Magic Kingdom because it seems that the opening time for MK changes so often, but I wonder if it is likely that the opening time for Epcot will stay the same?

On a related note, any comments about Garden Grill are welcome. We love the O'hana breakfast and it seems similar.

The hours for May are totally subject to change. That said, I doubt it'll go earlier most of the week unless they do an early EMH in FW.

GG breakfast is better than Ohana.

As stated above, Epcot usually keeps its 9:00 am scheduled opening time. I will say that I was just at Epcot on Friday and Monday and they let us in the gates at 8:40. I was on Frozen Ever After at 8:50 and Test Track at 8:59. Therefore, if you do make a early reservation you want to be ready to go at 8:40.

Agreed. We did a ppo at Akershus a few weeks ago and at 8:50 the rope drop crowd was arriving at FEA.

MK is really the only park that gets opening time changes. In a few rare instances AK or HS will move their times. Epcot the rarest of all.
Now, that doesn't mean they won't let you in early. Pretty much every park opens the turnstiles before official opening time, usually 15 min. That is not the same thing as moving opening time up.

They all are very prone to changing their closing times.

I would say Epcot is not really prone to changing closing time either. They are pretty steady in their scheduling, 9am-9pm with WS opening at 11am and illuminations at 9pm closing... except for during the holidays when it's at 9:30 and other special times (like NYE)... but I am not sure on a non-special day I've ever seen them change their schedule. The only thing is if EMH haven't been released those can change.

MK, I would not get my heart set on a PPO breakfast there, it seems like opening is a moving target and sometimes changes even a day or two before!

Agree,Epcot's close is "firm".

9:00 PM-"Regular"
9:30 PM-Day after Thanksgiving-December 30
1:00 AM-NYE
10:00 PM-Fridays and Saturdays during Food & Wine;4th of July:)

In regards to Garden Grill itself, my mom and I ate there for breakfast last year and loved it. We had a reservation for the first sitting and the food was hot and awesome. My mom is not one for TS meals but even she said that Garden Grill is the one she will make reservations for again.
