chances of CL at AKL in Oct..7 months out

Just wondering of the changed of getting Concierge level at AKL if I can only book seven months out.

It's possible, but not very likely.

There are only 5 two bedroom lock off units available in the concierge category. That means there is a maximum of 10 concierge rooms available for any one night if all the units are split and reserved separately.

Many members purchased AKV points specifically to have access to the concierge rooms.

Still worth a try, but the odds are not in your favor.

I've been paying attention because we are staying CL in October (a 2br and a studio) and it seemed to me several others were as well... I wouldn't count on it, but be pleasantly surprised if you can pull it off!

I called and was waitlisted on 1/23/09. As of Thurs. 1/29 my waitlist came through for 8/23-8/28. This was for a studio. Keep your fingers crossed!!! It does happen.

I called on 1/29/2009 for a studio 8/29-9/3, but no luck! I waitlisted, but the possibility of actually getting is pretty grim!

Not sure about October but we had wanted a CL studio during September. I forgot to call right at 11 months out and ended up with a value studio instead. When I called back to see if ANY dates in a CL studio were available in September, the ONLY date available was 9/30- one night. We waitlisted the CL room for the same time we have the value studio ( after first being told we couldn't wtl if I had an existing ressie) but it hasn't come through yet. That said I was much more careful in calling for our December ressies and got the CL we wanted- it's tough to get- not that many of them. Even with home resort priority it all depends on how many other guests want the same thing at the same time. At least in October due to F & W, BWV or BCV are more preferred by most members due to proximity to Epcot- so that might help a bit.---Kathy

I put in a WL for AKV Concierge Studio last week. I don't think it will come though but it didn't hurt to WL. My nephew is getting married and I thought it would be a nice honeymoon location. The dates are 10/11-10/16.

Anything is possible, but when I called to book for October, 2 days into my 11 month window as I own there, there were no studios and only 2 one bedrooms left for my dates.
I took one of the 1 bedrooms.

Didn't work for me and I was going in what I thought would be down time

8/23 - 8/26 for a 1 Bedroom. I think MS told me I could have 1 of the 3 nights I wanted.

So if you want several continuous nights seems you need the 11 months.
