Chances for a BWV Std. @ 7 months?

Hoping to stay at the BWV in August next year, likely the third or fourth week. We would like a standard view 1 bedroom. What do you think the odds are that we'd be able to get a std. view? Just curious. Don't really care about the view, and hoped to shave off a few points. Thanks!

Based upon my experience getting a standard with out the 11 month window is very hard at anytime. You maybe able to get it on the waitlist.

The standard view villas and the boardwalk view villas are very often scooped up by BWV owners and never even make it to the 7 mo window. But you never know, it is worth a try. I would book a villa at your home resort first just so you have a place to stay and then at 7 mos try to switch over. If is not available just get on a waitlist.

Last year, in March, I decided that we had enough points to change a BWV ressie from 2 SV studios to 1 SV 2 bedroom for August '05. It wasn't available, so I went on a waitlist. It came through for us sometime in May. The dates we wanted it for began on August 19th. So, it is possible. We were relatively late getting on the waitlist.

BWV is my home resort. Tried to get a quicky ressie in at 7 months, no luck. I settled for SSR. Ill miss my BWV.

we got a sv studio for the last week of august at the seven month window for seven nights, we are counting down our trip to go there five more weeks. I called day by day at 9am and was told august is usually not a problem. good luck

I think you'll have a good chance as well. The second half of August is much lower demand and the 1 BR are the easiest to get of the standard view units.

I agree - I don't think you will have a problem.

In my experience, standard view studios in late August were difficult this year. There were none available for us at the 7 month window - I did not do day by day, however.

One bedroom standards were easier to come by - and have been for the last 3 years.

A couple of years ago, I got a standard one bedroom for late April at 7 months. I was sharing points with friends who owned elsewhere.

Several times - my sister prefers to stay at BWV as I own at OKW & SSR - I usually book OKW at 11 months and then at 7 months switch - I have never had a problem getting into the 1BRs - the studios always seem to be booked, but we got 1BR's at 7 months in Jan, Feb, July, August and December -

Dont know if i am just lucky - also, we ALWAYS check in on a Friday or a Saturday which i was told makes it easier to get the dates - something about owner vs. developer inventory.

I just tried for BWV standard view in Sept. and it was open...as was BCV. This made me feel a little better after all of the stuff on the boards about never being able to book anything but a home resort at 7 months. Sept. is a slow time, but I would still try in August!

Thanks everyone! We never have a problem getting a 1 bedroom for August at most of the other resorts. In fact I was able to book OKW for early this August 4 weeks in advance. Just thought we'd give BWV a try next year.

I was able to book a one bedroom, standard view, at BWV at six months out for early May of 06. No problem whatsoever, hope you have the same luck!

We'll be going this August (5th-11th!!!) and BWV is NOT our home resort. I got a 1br, standard view with no problem. However, I did call each day until I got the whole week. It's definitely doable. At the time, she had a lot of availability. Go for it!

Last week I called and scored a standard studio for Labor Day weekend. Well, we have a wait list for the last night of our stay, but I'm hopeful.
