Hi! I'm just starting to plan a trip for the 2nd week in Dec. for DH, twins sons (will be a month away from 5 at the time of trip), my parents (not big walkers & haven't been on vacation since probably the early 1980's), and myself. We are considering ASR, PO, CBR, and WL. DH and I have previously stayed at the Poly and WL. We loved WL, but want to be more frugal this trip. I was wondering what the chances of getting a code discount for that time at the WL are, and how low of a rate I might be able to get. Any info, suggestions, opinions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much,
Gretchen

I think you may be in luck if history proves to follow correctly. We just spent a week there the second week of Dec @ an Annual Passholder's rate of $109. I thought this was wonderful and only wish I could duplicate it in April........That is the least we have ever paid to stay there. Good luck.it was absolutely wonderful...

Thanks so much for the info Lou-Ann! We have never done an AP. We'll probably stay 6 nights (we've never taken 2 trips in one year). Would it be worth it for one of us to get an AP. Do I have to have the AP when I book (or can I apply the discount later)? I'm planning on booking soon (I love the planning almost as much as the trip - what a dork I am)!
Thanks again,

My crew and I will be at the WL the 2nd week of December also. I locked in now with a Disney Club discount. The price was 255 per night for a courtyard view which is the most expensive. We also have 4 people in our room so they charged us extra. The AP will pay for itself if only used one time for the deep discount on the room. If I went with the AP we would be saving 400.00 which in my opinion is a good discount. Then we just split the cost of the extra for the AP off of a 5 day hopper pass. I think you could not go wrong with an AP. I may get one later in the year, but I didn't want to hold out making reservations and possibly not getting the room I wanted. Hope this helps!!!:) Also mousesavers.com has a link that will calculate whether getting an AP would be worth it. Enjoy!:)

You don't need to have an AP when you book the room just when you check-in.

Good luck!
